I found the Oracle OPKs a bit too sensitive. I was getting dark lines for over a week while also using my usual fertility2family OPK's and getting really faint lines still. I finally got a pos on the f2f.

So I use oracle for hcg and sticking with f2f for OPks

I'm thinking about getting hpt's from oracle, buying a pack of FRER every month gets expensive. The first lot of OPK's I bought I got from the pregnancy shop, I loved them! When I got my LH spike it would show up instantly and always be darker than the control. Though, I have the theory I'm not going to test until a week after AF is due.

Have you decided which hospital you would like to go to? Yeah ive heard such great things about norwest. I can't wait to have a tour when I'm utd... I think it would be weird to tour hospitals before you are utd. Does anyone else feel like this?

Welcome Heids. We'll be trying around the same time. Hopefully Sep/Oct came around quickly.

Disney : I agree, I wouldn't tour hospitals before becoming pregnant. I didn't even know you could tour them. I think I'll be going private though.

    Happy 2013 all!
wow so much TTC talk! Bring on everyone's BFP!!
So I had a dream I was UTD & the test also said it was a girl lol so ridiculous!
I had a decent size NYE but not much drinking, no sleep though so I'm feeling it now. Love arvo naps.
We will be sticking with not trying not preventing for now. This gives me time to sort out $$ & I want to lose some more weight.
As Im in no hurry Ill just be keeping track of AF & CM for now & when Im nearly 100% ready ill start with OPKs. Can you all who use them suggest where The best place is to get them?
The fact it's even 2013 mentally seems better lol, TTC not so far away now!

Thanks for the tips, ladies. I just ordered an All round fertility pack from fertility to family (20 opks, 10 pts, and ovulation thermometer) can't wait to get it!

Yeah I'll be going to nepean private. I've heard some good things about it and plus its only a 10 minute drive from our place. Ill take a tour when I'm utd but I think that's where I'll go.

    Hi all
I would love to join too if thats OK.

My husband and I started ttc in late 2012. At first we were just going to go with the flow but once we started I read lots and wanted to understand my fertility more so started temping and using OPKs last cycle. I've been off BC since June & cycles have been all over the place. My shortest was last month & it was still 38 days so that's a pain!
I am finding the bbt monitoring and OPKs really interesting though. At least I know I ovulated last month. I'm using oracle OPKs at the moment too I find them really sensitive as well because I find I have darkish lines lots of the time. Hoping for my positive over the next few days.
    Wow long post, rambling.
Hope to see some good news on this thread soon! Look forward to sharing the journey with you all
