Kids in bed, DH playing xbox, 9.30 fireworks still haven't started (oops on their behalf I'd say!), I did a beer run for DH (who forgets to buy beer in NYE!) and willing myself to stay up to midnight.

Default What ate you doing tonight?

Been sitting watching tv and am about to go to bed. DS was asleep and in bed by 7pm. DH has been away at work since before Christmas. Not an exciting New Years but I am pregnant so it's not like I want to be out partying any way!

We decided to try our luck at Byron Bay. We're at Burleigh so It's not too far away from us and we figured we'd just head down and see if we could find somewhere to park etc.

We found somewhere eventually and sat at The Beach Hotel for a couple of hours drinking beer (DH) and pineapple juice (me), then went to a Mexican restaurant for dinner.

After that we had an ice cream on the beach, watched the 9pm fireworks and then came home!

    Was a nice afternoon/evening!

We got wild tonight and added kidney beans to our salad! We ate that while watching a movie.

Then I sorted through DD's clothes while DP read an audio mag.

Now I'm in bed and DP will join me shortly after he finishes folding the nappies.

The most exciting part of our night was dressing DD in a new pair of pyjamas. DP seemed to enjoy it anyway lol.

Eating subway for dinner (sounds boring but far better than the lite n easy meals I've been eating for 2 weeks!) outside on the new outdoor lounge we bought ourselves for 4Christmas.

Drinking champagne and frangelico and lime, whilst getting eaten by mossies as10 mo is fast asleep in her cot.

Glad to be relaxing and skipping the crowds and drunken idiots!

Sitting in bed watching reruns of greys anatomy while DP snores beside me... We were supposed to be going to a friends place for drinks and shenanigans but DP has "man flu" and is a miserable cranky man
