Default Need tips! Toddler won't let me shower:(

So can you give me any tips at all?
I'm on my own DH always overseas.

All of a sudden my 16mnth old wont let me shower! Normally I pop her in a seat while I shower and she just plays with toys but now she screams till she chokes. If I do not pop her In a seat or lock her in something she tries to come into the shower and I don't want her in there plus I'm clumsy so I can't shower with her while DH away. Now I know crying wont harm her but jeeeeeez it's a really stressful shower!

It's the "one" thing I have left and I will not give it up so I have to find a solution!
Today!!!! My morning shower is like my morning coffee I can NOT go without it!

    Any tips guys?

    Maybe shower when she's asleep?
    Before she wakes?

Take her in with you. couple of toys on the floor for her to play with. you can relax and she will have a ball and stay out of trouble. And you will enjoy your solo shower even more when your dh gets back.

i usually have 2 in with me. I looovve my solo showers now.

Default Need tips! Toddler won't let me shower:(

I tend to have a quick shower while the kids are having breakfast. The little one is strapped into her high hair so she can't go anywhere and I put the tv in for them so they are distracted by that and not looking for me.

I always take her in with me, and sit her on the floor of the shower with some toys. Makes the morning easy too, as we're both showering at the same time.

What about a basket of really interesting, new and engaging toys that only come out when you want to have a shower? I used to do this when I was feeding my newborn and had a toddler to keep amused

I agree with all the suggestions, either let her shower with you ( just sit her on the shower floor, with a few bath toys if you have), shower before she wakes or try getting a new interesting toy that only gets shown to her when you shower.
i understand not wanting to give up your solo shower. My DH works away too and my DD's almost always insist on being in the bathroom (if not the shower) while I am showering. I have learnt to accept it and if I really want to have that solo shower I save it for when they are asleep.
