Default Dummies- do they effect breastfeeding?

Oh ok. The one I tried is the nuk newborn one, now that you have all mentioned it my DS didn't take nuk ones either.
I'll get DH to go get a different brand, what are the nuby ones like for BFing newborn age?

Default Dummies- do they effect breastfeeding?

I have always had a huge amount of milk, supply was never an issue for me. My son liked to suck for comfort, but got frustrated at all the milk coming out, so he got a dummy at about a week old, no problems.

Default Dummies- do they effect breastfeeding?

The LCs where I work all recommend the round cherry shaped dummies, as they help keep the baby's mouth wider. Nuk dummies are shaped exactly like a squashed nipple from a poor latch. There is no evidence behind 'orthodontic' teats.

Oh ok thank you! I actually thought it was odd that they were shaped that way. It makes no sense.

I got her the nuby ones which are more cherry shaped.
