    Default First period after d&c

    Hi

Has anyone any experience with d&c not related to mc?

I had tubal reversal surgery with d&c done at same time. It was done pretty much mid cycle so I was expecting my period 14/12.

Still no period, I'm thinking everything needs time to recover, mind you fs said I should have had my period already

    Default First period after d&c

When I had my last D&C I got my period 2 days after surgery, thought I was hemoraging but the D&C prior to that took around 2-3months for AF to return.
Having a tubal reversal could also play a part in it.
Do you mind me asking how the recovery has been after your reversal? I'm looking at having a reversal in the next few months.

    Default First period after d&c

Can I ask was your d&c from something other than miscarriage? My understanding is if so it takes a bit before your hormones go back to normal ( after mc I mean )

I think I'm just a bit concerned as my dr just brushed me off & due to the reversal I'm very anxious to keep on top of my cycle😰

I've googled heaps & apparently the op shouldn't have affected my cycle.

As for my reversal it wasn't too bad. I was nervous more than anything. The general knocked me around for the first week ie very tired, felt very rundown etc. not too much pain at all

Pretty much 2 weeks exactly I felt much better by 3 weeks back to my normal self.

I do still have some pains on and off, a mix of period pain & afterbirth pains etc yet again dr just kinda brushed me off!!!

He seemed more bothered by me not having my period & any chance of pregnancy

    Default First period after d&c

You would think your doctor would want to investigate now just to make sure everything is back on track especially when you're trying to achieve everything back to normal in order to fall preg.. I know after my TL my cycle has been haywire, here, there and everywhere so i thought a reversal could be the same?

Two of the D&C's weren't m/c related. One was laparoscopy and D&C for endo and the other was a D&C after reoccurring UTI's.

Thanks for that I really want to have it done now (10months after my TL) but don't plan to have anymore bubs for another few years yet but have regretted my TL from day dot..
