We use the quantum tablets too and usually stock up when they are on special for 40-50c each. They come on special a lot.

Finish powder here. Just a small amount as you don't need much at all. They make those soap containers massive but, like washing powder, you get an effective wash with a fraction of the amount. And saves us a small fortune!

We have an Omega one RRP $1000 - I hate it. It doesn't always work (does a 15min cycle rather frequently no matter whether we press 'normal' or 'heavy'. Sometimes i spend the whole day tryig to get it to run through the whole cycle.

It is fairly noisy- doesn't bother me but might bother some others. Never dries the dishes and no I don't put plastic in.

We don't rinse first, in saying that I don't leave 'chunks' of food scraps.

It does clean the dishes well - when it goes through the proper wash cycle. There's only about 5 cycles and we always use normal or heavy.

We stayed with family recently at Xmas - no idea on model # or cost but they had a Miele.

Everything washed and dried perfectly with no rinsing. They dont put in plastics or good kitchen knives so you still do a small amount of dishes every 1-2 days.

When buying, make sure u take ur dinner set with you

We have a Bosch dishwasher and I love it. It is very quiet. I don't rinse dishes, just flick any solid bits off so I don't have to clean the filter as often . I'm loving the Fairy dishwasher sachets ATM. I used to use the Finish tablets, but in some washes, they wouldn't dissolve?

    Cheers

F&P dish drawer - love having 2 separate dishwashers! We are a small family so we don't always have enough dished to fill a whole dishwasher so having it as 2 halves really works for us :-)
