MM - love the idea of man with wine!

OBEM is awesome! I've only watched the uk ones though (you can YouTube them) from what I've heard they're much better than the us ones

This is the first season I've watched. It's such a good show. I had a c-sect and hate watching them though. Ignorance is bliss :-)

Thks for the info - will record it in case I forget

I just *cannot* believe some of these comments you girls have shared. It makes me cranky to know they're saying this awful stuff to women who are at such a vulnerable stage (either ttc or preggers). What a bunch of weirdos! :-/

Love the text/delivery boy idea. Although given my recent track record, might substitute wine with soft cheeses and sushi

No!! Willpower fail! BFN. Will hold out until Monday now I think, hubby gets home then. Then again if no AF by Thursday.

RE: doctors. The funny thing is with preg #1 I had PHI, private OB appointments, care at private hospital emergency room with bleeding, and stays in 2 private metro hospitals post-natal. Only thing i was impressed about was my OB (not her stand in). The rest was mediocre to just dreadful.

    TTC - private FS, jerk

Preg #2 ended in MC at a small regional hospital while we were on holidays. BEST CARE OF ALL! Doctors, nurses and even admin staff were SO nice.

Tormy - great to hear your Estrogen has gone up

Gizmo - haha glad I made you laugh! Feeling better now?? Great that the progesterone pessaries are doing something. Might be worth talking to your normal FS about them when they get back?? OBEM series I think finished last night but if you go to the SBS website you can usually watch the last 2 episodes (but they do expire after a certain period of time - 2 weeks from memory??)

Ladidah - Oh the US OBEM episodes were AWFUL!! This series is UK but its at a different hospital this time.

OMG MissusMac that Dr sounds AWFUL!! Did you lodge a complaint?? Love the quote on Fb. Hopefully its still too early for your BFP to show up

VENT AHEAD.....Just went to Mums and she asked about how all the FS stuff is going (I REPEATEDLY have asked her NOT to ask as I feel that people knowing what we are doing / where we are up to puts added pressure on me). She said that hopefully I will get permanency with my work soon. Told her I dont want it, I like the flexibility of being contract and besides, I will be out of the workforce later this year to spend more time with DD as I dont know if she will be my only one so I dont want to miss out before she goes to school as I have always worked or studied. Mums response - "Dont be silly you will have another one"- totally dismissing me... (great, when did you become psychic??). She then told me how she understands because she was so "stressed" she that I would be an only child when ttc my sister... (umm.... with our age gap she would have had to have been utd well before my 2nd birthday... so I dont think its comparable as DD is already 3 and Ive now had 2 m/c). Told her Im in different circumstances, Im 5 years older than she was, been ttc a long longer and have known fertility issues (so does DH but none of her business) and not to compare me anymore. Breathe........

I wish when people dont know what to say they just wouldnt say anything at all. Makes it so much easier. I know she was probably trying to make me feel better but it just makes it all worse

Hey waitinghoping, I know what you mean, it's frustrating listening to friends/ family advice because our bodies are all different so what works for one doesn't work for another. My DP told a lot of his work colleagues we were trying so I think he gets it a lot more than me.. I'm surprised how much he talks about it openly with others! As for bad medical experiences, when I had my early mc my doc wasn't working that day so I saw another who had my hcg results. She said (i had low hcg levels) "you're hardly pregnant" & smiled, my DP asked but why is there hcg at all, she said oh look if you don't mc by Monday come back so you might be preg but I doubt it. I asked if I needed time off work she said of course not, you'll just bleed like normal AF. I went back to my normal gp & she explained & validated what had happened, & gave me the week off. Being a doctor/ specialist may take brains but they need to learn people skills!!

Gee reading all this makes me feel lucky I haven't had anything so bad! We've told my mum but only because I needed to get some of her medical history the FS and DH can't always get time off for appointments so its nice to have a back up. I had one session with a psychologist who was meant to specialise in fertility problems and she kept saying at least I'm young which made me want to yell at her that it doesn't mean I get any less disappointed!
