Why don't they give pain relief or a twilight sleep or something? Gawd I'm freaking out, I would rather know the truth though so I know what to expect. Think I might take a forte lol

I had my HSG on Christmas Eve and was absolutely fine. It was no better or worse than a Pap smear. Took a bit longer, but I felt no pain at all (just discomfort from the speculum). I took 1 buscopan (on advice from radiology) and 2 nurofen (on advice from FS) beforehand. DH and DS were waiting for me in the waiting room and I picked up DS aged 3 on my way out - so I wasn't in any pain. Throughout the arvo I had the odd sharp/grabbing pain but nothing serious. I did take it easy for the arvo though. There isn't really a way of knowing if you'll be up for driving, do you have anyone you could stay with just incase?

I would much prefer CD 10 or 11 so I don't have AF. I know these people are trained med pros but still... plus I will be a bit tender from AF. Maybe yours was less painful bc you didn't have AF?

Tormy - nope no PHI. He didn't tell me a dosage. I have to wait 6 weeks to see him again bc it will be another month for the HSG then a few days for results. But he said he would put me on clomid.

Will be interesting to see what happens off vitex this month as I never get a true pos OPK without them. Wondering if I do still ovulate but the LH isn't quite as strong? either way I feel like I'm out for at least another 2 months bc I can't take vitex and won't be on any meds.

Will be interested to see if I get true + OPKs this month too. I never got clear results like I did the last 2 months on clomid. But previously I hadn't been testing properly (ie, late at night or after alot of water). I'm slowly getting darker. Was hoping for a + today, but maybe tomorrow will be my day.

I found my last cycle before clomid soooo long! And it wasn't just me being impatient, it dragged out to 49 days! So I definitely feel your pain in waiting! We're also waiting for our FS appointment in April. Boo hiss

    Thanks Ladies.

Tormy I will be 13 DPO on the 2nd. The need to wait that long is only because i'll be 7dp the 2nd trigger injection.
The trigger is supposed to take 7- 10 days to clear the system and it contains HCG so HPT could come up false positive.

I've had false positives before and it's such a let down to see it and have to tell yourself it might not be real. Part of me wants to wait longer so I can be excited and sure if it is a BFP.

Welcome Munchin and Butterfly! Hope your stay is not too long.
