    Default save our sleep questions

I am a SOS fan and I have an excellent sleeper. That being said I didn't start on the routines until bub was 8-10 weeks as I couldn't be stuffed with all the expressing involved. And I'd rather go with the flow in the early days to make sure my milk supply regulated properly. I used to have so much milk I'd feed off one boob each feed....which used to take 45 minutes. Each lady might be different though, some might need each boob to be suckled at each feed to keep supply up. I don't think the bf'ing guidance is an essential part of the 'saving your sleep.'

    Good luck.

From the start with my baby I only fed from one side each feed and the other side 4 hours later, till he was 8 months now I offer the other side as well. But each bub is different. I just wanted to make sure he was getting the hind milk. I found when I did offer both sides (early on) he was having green stools and I knew he was only getting the foremilk so then I kept up with just doing one side at a time.

I remember in hospital I was taught by the nurses the bub is to have entree, main from one side and desert from the other side. I found it funny but I used to skip the desert lol and keep in the same side. He has always been on the 85th percentile so I knew he was getting enough!

SOS was a godsend in my eyes and both my boys are absolute dream sleepers and slept all night as soon as I followed it!. Although I didn't follow the routines until 4 months onwards.

    Good luck
