Default What do you wear when you swim in public?

I am quite self conscious so I tend to always wear boardies over my bikini bottoms, with either a tankini top or a bikini top covered with a singlet top.

I am most self conscious of my boobs (E cup) and cellulite.

Do you feel the urge to dress modestly at the beach or public pool, or are you confident to rock your swimwear?

I wear a rashie & short like swimmer bottoms. Only time I feel comfortable with my body is when I am pregnant and all the saggy skin is stretched out haha.

I wear a one piece at the pool doing laps, and a bikini with small board shorts at the beach (more so to stop them riding up or falling off with the waves).

I'm a size 12 and have cellulite and stretch marks but once I realized that since I wasn't noticing them on other people, then they probably weren't noticing it on me it was much better

I don't bother covering up over by bathers. I certainly don't rock my swimwear, but I hate layers, I find boardies etc really uncomfortable when they get wet! I wear a halterneck bikini to the beach and a crossover back sports-type 2 piece to the local pool when swimming laps. I'm usually a size 10, but atm have a decent baby bump - I actually feel more comfortable with the bump than without in my swimmers! I'm most self conscious of my bum/ thighs.

I ALWAYS wear boardies......ever since high school back in the 90s when boardies for girls started to be the normal thing. Cant imagine not wearing them now...my bum would be all "HEYYYYYYY look at me, falling out these tiny bikini bottoms". Not something I want to subject the public to.

Ive always been a member of the itty bitty t!tty committee so have nothing to show off up top, but still wear a bikini and not a one piece or tankini. Now Im pregnant I FINALLY have boobs again (for the first time since my last pregnancy 8yrs ago) and am looking forward to filling out a decent bikini top this year.

ETA: Im certainly not confident in my body BUT I am comforted by the fact that I have seen how some girls get around now and they sure show everything off.....Im talking about the much larger girls who wear tiny bikinis with muffin tops and side boob galore.....and then cover that with either leggings *shudder* or tiny denim cut off with 90% of the pocket showing. Good on them for feeling confident enough to 'let it all hang out' but I dont think its a good look.

I wear just a one piece swimsuit both to the beach and pool, I don't care who sees me. I have a little bit of cellulite but it just doesn't bother me now. I wear a towel around my waist sometimes if I'm on my way to get changed. I so wish I could wear a bikini! My tummy is flat, but the skin is a bit weird and goes crinkly if I bend over and my belly button is all stretched out and strange. Just easier to wear a one piece than to be self conscious about it.

A one piece with long board shorts.

I brought a bikini to wear under clothes. My loving DD's told me that "I could never wear them in public because my boob are like old man socks and my loose skin covers my bottoms so you can't tell I am wearing them.
