Default Everything is annoying the heck out of me. :( long vent.

I have a 10 day old baby who has the most horrid reflux. I have tried EVERYTHING. Even reflux formula which worked for the whole week and now we are back at square 1. - exorcist style vomiting, and ALOT of it. Dr said keep burping him.. I DO!!!!! It makes no difference, neither does elevating him. We have him screaming every 2 hours for a feed, then he vomits like no tomorrow. Then he screams for the next few hours making any sleep impossible. We have a 2 and 4 year old as well who wake 1-2 times a night each as well.. either they need to go to the toilet/want milk/cry etc etc. I have a 3rd degree tear and have stitches and it's killing me. Both sets of grandparents can't/won't help... my In laws refuse to have any of the kids - certainly not overnight and when they do have them (when you literally beg) during the day, they don't get fed/changed, and are even more ferral than ever. She lets them run wild. And talking to her about routine etc is like talking to a brick wall.

My parents - my dad works shift work so he can't watch them. if he's not working, he's sleeping. My mum is sick and on heavy meds so can't watch them either. Friends - well, they have their own kids to look after so i don't expect help from any of them either, so I wouldn't ask anyway. And then during the day I am having friends wanting to visit the baby which I get, but seriously, PI$$ OFF!!! Can't they understand that we are just not ready?! My dd is sick, DH isn't feeling the best either, I am sore from my stitches, the baby is hard to settle, and isn't even sleeping during the day. Today it's 3.36pm and he JUST fell asleep from 9 am this morning. All day I have had nothing but vomiting/screaming/screeching. It has done my head in. I have spent the whole day crying. Dh helps as much as he can. I have told friends that we are just not ready, can they please wait, but no, they ring every day. FFs. We did have one set of friends come over and their boys did nothing but irritate me. All night til 10pm (they are 4.5 & 6, so understand very well when you speak to them) they were screaming/screeching, throwing toys, jumping on the couches, running outside into the dark, slamming the front door. I even yelled at them when the parents just kept sitting there saying nothing.. I couldn't take it. Any sleep would be good. To have all 3 kids sleeping at the same time during the day would be useful. the older 2 do, but then the baby screams. I feel so useless and there is nothing i can do to help him.

**sigh** wish I could take a one way ticket to the moon and stay there. sorry for the long vent.

Have you tried a chiropractor for your baby? I've heard wonderful things about them...

    Oh you poor thing!

That sounds really hard. Why won't the grand parents help?

U poor thing!!!! I hope it all gets sorted out soon, it always shocks me how parents are just supposed to "deal with it"! Ur inlaws should pull their boots up and help out!!! I think you should ask friends even if you don't want to if my friend asked for help I would jump at the opportunity to help.
    Hope the chiro helps!

Oh good luck with the chiro. I have also heard awesome things and plan to go along with this bub.
It sucks when family kind of fall down with the support. I hope chiro helps, baby feels and sleeps better, and your stitches heal quickly too.

I feel for you, and we only have one kid! Our DS had/has reflux and it is heartbreaking, frustrating and tiring. Well it was for me. For us, infacol, block feeding and two osteopath apptments helped a lot. Good luck, and please go easy on yourself. I admire you for keeping it together.
