I know there are a whole lot of other issues/complications/waiting that go on with those options but if you want more children would you/have you considered it?

AFM Unfortunately yesterday cd13 my estrogen levels dropped so the 20 or so follicles that were looking so promising on monday (11-16mm) have caused concern for my cycle. I had a large dose of menopur last night to try and boost my levels and scan today showed 11-17mm (2 at 17mm) but now just waiting for bloods. Unfortunately due to my 1st cycle experience I think i know it'll lead to another cancelled cycle and back to a down reg cycle... so more waiting.... it's the waiting that drives me crazy
Jb2011 - thanks for your kind words. Unfortunately, cost prevents us from using a Donor Egg. Lynn told us that if we were to use a donor from Australia, we'd be looking at about $16,000 and if we used the USA Donor Egg Bank, it'd be a whopping $23,000!!! We just don't have that money spare. As for adoption, we are both too old. So it's the end of the line for us. Best of luck for your cycle. I hope it's not another cancelled one for you.

Hey girls, Lynn has started me taking melatonin- but I'm just wondering about taking it when I'm in a 'natural' tww?? I don't want to stop it on one hand bcos I figure the chance of miraculously getting a bfp the month b4 IVF is pretty minimal.. But then there's a little thought of 'what if??'

amyone else ended up taking it during their tww?

Hi Rebecca! Feel free to butt in! : )

apparently it helps with egg quality. She gave me a script for 4mg melatonin to take daily- & from wot I've read in here she seems to get most girls to take it.

Siansmum I am sorry that it comes down to $$ if only we all had an endless supply. Just focus your love and attention on your gorgeous boy who will give you lots of love, happy mememories and one day get married and give you lots of grandbabies to love and spoil!!!

AFM: Cycle was cancelled yesterday managed to get in to see Lynn today and starting a down reg cycle in a couple of weeks. When AF shows up I start on the BCP then 2 weeks later have an ovarian scan to check there's no activity then start synarel nose spray and 2 weeks after that have a BT to check I have been successfully down regulated and then start stimming again on 200 menopur. This time around she also allowed me to start melatonin so I am happy about that to try and help with egg quality!! Estimated EPU about 8 weeks from now.....

DH and I are going to get away for a week before October so that will be nice and just what I need then October begins with my best friends hens and wedding, Dads birthday, Grandma's 90th birthday and our 2 yr anniversary so it's a busy month for us so it flys by!!

    Hi ladies,

I am usually quite a private person and was too scared to join this forum. However, I have been reading your posts over the last few weeks and they have given me some hope and so I decided to join today for some help. The last 3 years or so have seemed like torture to my husband and I. I fell pregnant for the first time in late 2009 after 3 months of TTC and we were over the moon; only to be told at the 20 week scan that the baby was very sick with a rare condition (not genetic) and that we will lose our baby. We tried in vain to save him but there was nobody that could help us. Our son was stillborn at just over 24 weeks and that was the most heartbreaking time of our lives. To see how gorgeous he was but not to be able to bring home was devastating. It took a little while to pick ourselves up and start trying again but since then we have been on one huge emotional rollercoaster. I have fallen pregnant 3 times since then but each one ended in miscarriage. So, it was time to take the next step and I then went on to try 2 rounds of clomid and 4 rounds of IVF at MIVF but nothing has worked for us so far. All the testing has shown that there is nothing wrong except a low AMH (3.5) and most likely because I am now in my late 30s. It has been emotionally draining. We have now decided to see Lynn to see if she can help us. Some of the positive stories here have given me some hope again. It sounds like taking a break and preparing your body may be of some help. A few of you (like Beta and Lena78) have mentioned a TCM practitioner called Richard in the northern suburbs that may have contributed to your success. Is it possible to share his details with me and hopefully he can be of some help to us too? Good luck to all of you with wherever your journey takes you.

Hi Brokenheart : ) welcome... I'm fairly new to this forum too, and the gals in here are great. I can't help with this Richard person, but I was seeing a lady in Balwyn who my friend used while doing IVF- she specialises in fertility TCM & my friend used her bcos another friend also had success with her. I'm thinking of having acupuncture again with her while doing IVF. Let me know if u want me to try & PM you her details. Your story is quite harrowing, you've been thru so much. By the sounds of it, if anyone can get you over the line it will be Lynn. And by the way- she is lovely!! I was slightly nervous bcos some specialists are great at wot they do, but have no bedside manner. Both me & my OH think she is just lovely, Ive felt very comfortable with her. She even did a dummy egg transfer for me on the spur of the moment bcos I was nervous after a very painful HSG test. Good luck!

On a side note.. Can anyone tell me wot the phone number is for the andrology lab at Epworth hawthorn?? I can't find it listed online. Looks like we wil have to try & freeze OH's sperm bcod he 'might' be away during the EC... Bloody annoying but can't be helped. If we can't get an appt at the lab this week then will have to put the cycle off till next month, bcos he goes away for work next Sunday... Trying not to be upset about it.. Am reminding myself it's not the end of the world.

    Hi Brokenheart,
Welcome to our thread! I was like you and always read the threads and gathered information until one day I stumbled upon this one and heard how similar my story was to others and decided that I just had to join in and it was the best thing I have done.
I am sorry to hear your story. The journey to having a baby is very rough and then to lose a much wanted baby is even more heartbreaking. I lost our baby boy at 17 and a half weeks just over 2 months ago. It has been a tough couple of months but I have received so much support here and in other threads that it helped in some way to feel like we are not alone in this.
We also have were at MIVF and left after we felt that not enough testing was done and no one wanted to hear our ideas or concerns. Lynn is amazing. She will look at you with fresh eyes and do as many tests that she needs to get a clearer picture of your case and will set you an appropriate protocol. I got pregnant with my first cycle with Lynn. Even though it didn't end the way it should have, I have faith that it will with the right doctor and the right meds.
I can help you with the TCM doctor as I am seeing him too. I have tried to PM you but it won't let me until you make more posts. It is Almond Wellness Centre in coburg. Hope that helps.
Feel free to ask as many questions as you like. We are all here for each other through the good and the bad.
Welcome to the lovely ladies of Lynn club hehe

Juniper- I think you just call the main telephone number and they might transfer you there. 9429 9188

I just had a thought- Do you ever wonder if Lynn has ever googled herself and seen this thread? hehe
