    Default Anyone lived in lathlain?

Hi researching areas to live in and wondering if any one has lived or is living in lathlain? What are your thoughts on the suburb? Is it good for young kids. Thanks

Lived there and around there for many years. here are LOT of undesirables and burswood (casino) is very close by so you get a few drunken idiots around.

    hi!
I have lived in rivervale and Victoria park (not too far away from Lathlain)
there are lots of parks around, belmont is awesome (great dinosaur playground and pools)
Burswood and the foreshore are close and you are close to the city!
I moved to Applecross now, but loved living in vic park.
Lots of cafes and shops and great place to walk around
    Hope that helps!

I haven't lived there myself but know someone who has. I'll be honest , it's not the nicest area out there, very intercity suburb, close to the casino...Vic park is probably nicer...

You would want to go check out the street anyway, I live in a 'dodgy' suburb with a reputation for drunks and violence, but my surrounding streets are lovely, full of old folk and quiet families Next block is a totally different story, the houses are shabby with cars parked all over lawns and people hanging around shouting on their lawns :-/
You get good areas in bad suburbs, and bad areas in good suburbs!

A really good way to find out about a particular area or street is to call the local police station, explain your situation and ask if they get trouble in the area often.
