Default How to use evening primrose oil

Ok so I spoke to my midwife about it and she said its ok to take and insert evening primrose oil from 36 weeks but I have a few questions for previous mums who have used it....
How many capsules did you insert at night?
I read that you wear a pad, is that like a regular pad or an over night sized one?
Do I have to pierce them before inserting them?
Will 100 last me for 4-5 weeks?
How many do I take orally?
Lol sorry for all the questions...
    Any other tips are welcome
    TIA!!

I put about 3-4 capsules a night and just wore a regular pad, and no I didn't pierce them.

I've just started taking raspberry leaf capsules but happy to try anything to avoid going overdue again in the heat

I inserted 2 a night (only started using them from 40 weeks I think). I didn't pierce them (the outer capsule just degrades as it would if you ingest them), and wore a regular pad. I didn't take any orally. If you insert 2-3 a night then 100 should last 4-5 weeks.

    I used 2 a night with a regular pad.
I did pierce them though unlike others. Just a pin prick in the end that's going in first.
I was told it gives it more time to work as you don't have to wait for the cover to dissolve. So it has all night to soak in.
100 should last fine but I had some left and was told to take them orally after birth to help my body cope better with the nasty baby blues.

    Good luck.
