    Default Itchy!

I am 32 + 3 weeks. On and off over the last day or two, I have had really itchy nipples! I have had leaky boobs for a few weeks now (been wearing nursing pads it gets that bad), and was just wondering if anyone knows what this could be? Is it just the colostrum irritating my nipples, or just another annoying pregnancy symptom that I am getting? I seem to have gotten the worst of them! Lol.

    Thanks ladies

Would it be thrush? I'm not bfing yet... Bub isn't due till Feb... I thought you tended to get thrush whilst feeding, cos bub would get oral thrush... I'm seeing my Dr in a week so I'll see what he says

Go to the pharmacy, they might be able to put you out of your misery much sooner, you don't need a prescription for thrush treatment.

If you are leaking and your nipples are moist, could be.

Not sure what else it could be

$10 tube of canestan cream will do the trick if it is.

If it does turn out to be thrush, grab dont canestan rinse for your bras and undies

    Default Itchy!

Is the skin dry? I had really itchy skin on my nipples and between my fingers for most of my pregnancies - drove me crazy but wasn't anything sinister I don't think. This time around I put Vaseline on them which helped a little when they were dry and itchy. Both times it went away once bubs was born.

Its not dry, and its not over the top moist. I wear nursing pads and change them regularly, so they aren't sitting in colostrum all day.
