Default How much do you earn per hour? What industry are you in?

When I was working (dental nurse) I was on $25 an hour at a private clinic and that was above the award. I am qualified so that makes it a bit more. This was 2 years ago though.

Dh is a carpenter and is on $44 an hour plus penalties. He is in the mines working in his profession, so in 1 pay week (he only works 3 or 4 days in a pay week depending on his roster) then he earns 2k after tax because of double time etc. so really his hourly wage average is at least $60+ an hour. If he was just working as a carpenter in a normal carpentry job then his income would be around the $30 mark I am guessing.

I get anywhere between $40-$120 per hr, I'm a freelancer/contractor in the film industry. Sounds a lot but I pay my own super and the jobs can be few and far between. Luckily I have a lot of contacts so generally work full time.

Currently on maternity leave but I work 5 days per fortnight for the health dept in accounts payable. Pays $27 per hour. We get a 4% increase a the beginning of each year. Also get a district allowance of $30/fn as we live regionally and eligible for salary sacrifice. For the job I do I sometimes feel overpaid especially when my sister was running a daycare centre for about $25 per hour!
I didn't do any specific study for this role, just in the right place at the right time
