Default How much do you earn per hour? What industry are you in?

My first paycheck at my new job has been put through today, and my boss sent me a message about my hourly pay rate (I hadn't bothered asking about it prior). It's standard for the industry, though I didn't expect a higher rate on Saturdays.

Anyway, DP and I were discussing different industries and their different pay rates... at McDonalds, for example, I was on $24 an hour, which seems to be more than what some people are on for a lot more demanding jobs than taking orders at a till. lol.

So, if you're feeling okay with answering (and seriously, if you're not, why are you in this thread? lol), how much does your industry earn you per hour?

    It's pure curiosity!

I'm a dog groomer and I get $20.54 an hour. Better than some jobs I have worked but worse than others.

I'm a qualified trades person in the building industry and get about $17 an hour. Pretty pitiful pay! Probably why there is such shortage of apprentices when maccas pays better for a lot less responsibility

I'm on $28.84 (salary $60k a year). Office Manager/personal assistant. I was on $18 an hour at red rooster as a store manager 6 years ago and in my opinion that was a much harder job.
