it's the worst time of year to be going through a fresh break-up. My DH recently left while I'm pregnant too, so feel free to pm me if you need to chat/vent.

I'm dreading this next week and can't wait for Xmas to be over

The fact that I would be better off single than with a dead beat jerk, yeah that really helped. I guess because I was over it a good 2 years before we broke up, so once it was actually over I couldnt care less.

Knowing that eventually you will find the right one who will put all the other jerks to shame and show you they weren't worth a single minute of your time. Yep been through the butt heads (and there were a few) before finally making it to the one. You've just got to tell yourself 'I deserve more' and make sure you always keep your heart open for someone special )

Hi For me it was... Probably having the support of my family and friends. Keeping busy and distracted.

What kind of things did you all do to keep distracted? I'm finding myself on the couch not wanting to do anything and when I do something all I can think about is how much I wish xdp would just call and say he still wants to be with me

That's what I was like when I was a zombie.
Having said that its been a year since that break up and I'm laying on the couch eating malteasers with no motivation.
you could try taking up a hobby, but for me that just made me feel worse because I'm one of those 'instant gratification' people when I'm sad and so learning something takes time and drains my already sad emotions.
