Default What have you found in your kids rooms??

One of the radio shows this afternoon (mammamia today) were discussing this this arvo, after a 3 year old in Townsville collected some eggs from the yard put them in a Tupperware container inside his wardrobe where they hatched into eastern brown snakes (only the second deadliest snake) in the world for his mother to find a few weeks later.

    Nothing to compare to that!

I read that story though and shuddered because not only am I from the 'ville, my DD is obsessed with dinosaurs and would happily have taken snake eggs and kept them in her cupboard thinking they were going to turn into dinosaurs.

OMG nothing like that! DS often finds bits of fossilized toast in his room... and eats it. Charming.

    I would die!

When I was a kid I took a goose egg home to 'hatch'. The man I took it from knew it wasn't fertilised.
Totally forgot about it until it cracked and stunk out my room. It was wrapped in a beanie and then lots of my clothes.

Mum found 3 dozen eggs in my brothers room under his bed a few weeks back....he had no idea how they got there so we assume he drunkenly bought them at some stage.

Best before date was 3 months prior to her finding them!

Brother is 18 btw so allowed to drink

Oooh lets see....DS is great at this one!!

He loves raiding our pantry and sneaking stuff back into his room, where he hides it in the drawer of his train table. So far he's had Tiny Teddies, yoghurts, sultanas, half a kiwi fruit (that was fun as I didn't find that for a while!!), an entire (and new) box of Coco Pops, all 3 kids advent calendars...

However, he outdid himself when he asked me for some cheese one day. I said I'd get it in a minute. Five minutes later I hear him crying in his bedroom and go into find he'd got into the cutlery drawer and acquired a steak knife and cut himself with it. When I asked him why he had the knife, he replied that he was going to get the cheese himself!!

    Please note DS is 3!!

Oh and I recall stashing a big box of Easter eggs (about 80) in my doona cover and forgot about them. Parents weren't happy about that one.
