    Default explaining AF to a child

    DD found a box of my pads and she asked what they were. I didnt know what to say so i just said they are mummys things.

    Shes almost 4 and ive spoken to her about babies, penis's and vaginas but what should i say about AF?

    If she is happy with what you told her then I don't think I would worry about it. My DD saw my pads once and said "mummy wears nappies" haha! I just said that they are special things for mummies and she hasn't asked since! I'm also pregnant so I'm just waiting for the "how did the baby get in/out" questions which I'm not looking forward to!!

    I just told my boys when they asked that each month my tummy gets ready to make a baby and if there isn't one then the blood comes out.
