    Default Store-bought mayonnaise and aioli?

    Hi ladies!

We're having some salmon and broadbean patties for dinner (yum!) and I usually have some aioli with them.

It's the Paul Newman brand whole egg aioli.

I've been told that any mayonnaise etc that you buy 'off the shelf' (not from the refrigerator) is ok to eat when pregnant, but I can't seem to find any solid information anywhere.

    Can anyone shed any light?

    Thank you!

Its the raw egg in it. generally speaking the store bought mayos are cooked, home made not.

To be safe, I have been eating the 99% fat free mayo as it has no egg in it (read ingredients list on back). Tastes fine but I cant wait to have normal whole egg mayo again.

Pasteurised Mayo is fine. Its the unpasteurised ones that are risky.
