Default 2013 is so far away! #2

I'm so excited for 2013! I know it's going to be a great year. I have a feeling about it. 2012 for me and DF was a bit of a nothing year. One that we will look back on and say "I can't remember much about 2012". Saying that, it's gone so quick.

My DF's 5 month old niece was over today making me super clucky. She feel asleep on my sheepskin and slept so well. Her parents are getting her a baby size sheepskin now. Cute! She met my dog which was a first for the both of them. Lots of giggles from her when my dog licked her toes. I was so proud of my pup. He is usually crazy around people but he seemed to know to be gentle around the bub.

Hi Disney, can I be added too please?

    Name: elswyth
    Month: March/April
    State: VIC
    Pregnancy: First
    Age: 27

I totally hear what you are all saying about November/December birthdays but my DP and I just can't bear to wait much longer. We are just so excited to try.

We're actually waiting on his sister to get married at the end of March, we wanted to make sure we're not announcing something that would perhaps 'steal their thunder' and be unfair, which is why we've held off for a bit... but since I know it might not happen first go we'll start in March and worst case scenario, we'll have a December babe. It's just like you said though, bearbug, as long as it's a healthy baby then there is nothing to be unhappy about!

Welcome elswyth! That is so sweet you are waiting until after the wedding to try for a baby! What incredible will power! I'm waiting for my private health waiting period to expire. I completely forgot about it! Went and found out in June I think it was how much it was etc and chatted to dh about it and he said yeah upgrade to cover obstetrics and I forgot!!!!! I only remembered in October to actually call them to upgrade so the baby can't be born before mid October 2013. I've just got this cycle to go and that's it we are officially ttc!

Marepoppin & futuremama - I've added you to our official 2013 roll call!!!

Thanks Disney! Ohh right, I need to decide on public/private too in the next few days. That is a whole separate topic though, so confusing! Having to put of TTC for a practical reason is so hard but you gotta do it when you gotta do it eh You are so close now though. Exciting!!

    Hey Disney,
Can I get my trying months changed to March/April? Want to loose a few more kgs before trying again. Bit dissapointed not to be trying earlier cos I really wanted to have a sept/oct/nov bub this time, but I could really be in better shape going into it so that's that! Oh, and it's JessyJ! Not that it matters really

Was thinking about the folate/elevit thing, might ask my gp too.

    Have a great NYE!!!

MrsLa- now have 2 condoms left and yep your right about af. She turned up today, right one Que. I have my finger crossed that it's still to early for you to test.

Tashee- our baby will be the first grand baby on both sides too. I already have a stack load of things ready for a baby just not any big ticket items ( except a pram that was given to us by dp's aunty as she was throwing it out and a high chair that was dp's when he was a baby). Both of these items are in the shed so I don't see them unless I go down there. Stil in 2 minds about the cot though. Hope your cycle sorts itself out. As for the gender, I've said it before I don't want to know and Dp does. I told him I'd let us find out as long as its our secret.

    Welcome elswyth.

Disney- we are only hours away from 2013 now. Can you believe it? May 2013 bring ths group lots of baby dust and bfp! I'm truly excited to see them start popping up!

Afm af showed up today right on time. Not starting the new year with a " bang" as Dp wanted lol. This is my last af before I ttc. We start as soon as this one is over. Having bit of mixed feelings mostly excited, anxious, nervous. I've joined the January testing group too so let's see what 2013 brings

Elswyth - yeah the public/private thing was an easy decision for me as my closest public hospital is still 30 mins away and it's a bit gross. I want my own room and more importantly I want my own bathroom. I also want to spend as long as I can in hospital so I can learn as much as possible. Close by I have lots of private hospitals and they are all super nice! I also wanted to be able to choose my doctor. You just have to be aware of the 12 month waiting period. So the baby can't be born within the 12 months of getting private health

Lilnightmare - yay for af turning up on time! That's so exciting you're in true TTC territory now! Oh I so hope you get your bfp first cycle! I can imagine you would have mixed feelings I still have 19 days till I join you with TTC and I'm so scared, excited and nervous but scared! It's such a huge step in life. I've been reflecting today over my epic year and I feel like I'm ready to start a family. I wouldn't have any regrets!

Hey ladies!! Welcome to the newbies I hope 2013 brings lots of good news for you!

AFM - chilling, waiting for AF To leave the building so we can jump on into round 3 of TTC! I am tempting fate using murphys law..... I just got 40 IC preggy tests off ebay from Oracle Fertility (CHEAP AS!!! $9.50 delivered) and are apparently the best ICs around, not known for evaps or false positives, and quite sensitive... so hopefully fate will give me a big , ill fall preg and it would have been a waste... Positive thinking goes a long way right? LOL I can dream Either way, i can now fulfil my POAS Addiction without breaking the bank. This month i spent over $50 on preg tests because i kept getting mixed results $30 on 6 FRER, $17 on a digital - that i still havent used. and $7 on a pregnosis.

Other than that, Im ready to kiss 2012 goodbye. Its been a full on year, ready for 2013 and hopefully a new addition, or one well on its way by the end!
