    Default IVF Babies due Jan/Feb/Mar 2013 #4

Mrs Opt I don't have a date for the C/S as yet, they did say 37 weeks which is mid Feb. I think they are thinking I will have a big bleed before 37 weeks in which they said they will deliver the baby (no bleeding yet). So anytime from now, (I'm 33 weeks) but I hope it doesn't happen whilst I'm still at home, being admitted on Friday 1st Feb. Looking forward to seeing your baby photograph!

Crafty that's interesting the Diabetes Educator told me 20 units before sending me to an endocrinologist. 10 units is good

Fetal monitoring is all over rather quickly, they just strap a couple of discs to your belly and monitor bubs for 15 minutes. I'm surprised your not getting monitored weekly for GDM. Maybe they have arranged it weekly for me as I'm now weekly for OB visits as well.

Oh I hope all the new mums hang around here, we don't mind talking babies! It will be rather lonely for the ladies who are due later, if another thread is started Not only that we can learn from you girls what to do or what to not do lol
Sounds like a good idea to keep with the same thread and we can all hear about every birth and every new mum!

Congrats meshell and broom! Both gorgeous.

Meshell, he must look tiny, Eliana was 6lb flat and 49cm and looked like a chicken without her feathers.

Best and less and target are good for 00000 stuff.

Thanks Adden and Km, makes a lot more sense!! I knew to ask the experts on here! I've been told just once a week at this stage, starting at 36 weeks which is next week! I think I can deal with just kicking back for 30 mins or so lol.

It was interesting though, what are the levels you ladies need to be under? The diabetes educator said 6.5 yet the OB said there is leeway more towards 7 so it's hard to know who to listen to!

Wow Adden, I don't know how you do it between the insulin then checking levels all while running around after Eli! You are amazing!

I just had such a heavy nap for an hour! I have been cleaning and washing all day but the house is spotless! Off to my aqua class soon, then dinner then back to bed! Going to sleep well tonight! Did all the big jobs so no more heavy cleaning for another week yaaaay!

I'm now on 16 units and need to increase it again after two high readings the last few days.

I thought i had a high reading because I had a meat pie when I minding my 5 week old nephew as I found it difficult to cook a healthy meal that night. I had a healthy breakfast this morning and it is high again.
I have GD was found early so since 17 wks I have been on insulin only at night as I only have issues with my fasting levels so my over night ones I have been on 14 units the whole time it has worked.
My level first thing in the morning needs to be under 5.0 and after meals under 8.0 I have no issues withe my day levels at all I found cutting down on the food sizes and cutting all sugar out of my diet I have lost weight even
    All the best
