I go to my GP he tells me cord around neck I must have a csect, I then call up midwife to have a chat as I am very panicky by this news she tells me GP is an 1diot and that it is common, then I go see OB at hospital he decides due to cord around neck he will induce me early (why? If its not such a big deal)

Ob tells me if I feel any pain I am to go straight to the hospital, I call hospital when I get pain, midwife tells me there is nothing that can be done and to suck it up.

Ob tells me to mention to hospital midwifes when they deal with me that baby has cord around his neck and that he is an IVF baby, I tell Midwife this she tells me that doesnt matter to them, they dont treat them any differently.

I am being told so many different things there is no consistency I end up in tears after each appointmet/phoe call I am over it

    oh mes,
poor you - you sound really upset. It's probably the pregnancy hormones making everything worse than it is. Ad I bet your feel frumpy and pregnant so everything is not how it should be!

jsust a word of friendly advice - get used to differing opinions especially regarding sleep patterns, breast feeding and care of your miracle. It's so confusing and hard when people tell you different things but ESP re e breast feeding every bloody midwife has a different way and opinion you can end up really confused and it sounds like the cord thing and induction are the same kind of things. It's really hard to k ow who to believe and what to believe and I don't really have an answer but to try not to get upset when everyone is telling you something different. Believe in yourself and rely on your hubby for support on issues and I know you'll be fine. Hugs

Mesh glad you're taking some well deserved r and r

Adden gorgeous picture you look lovely. My girlfriend is a wedding photographer (she did our wedding) and she is taking some pregnancy shots of me in a couple of weeks.

MrsSimmo I have put on so much weight with this pregnancy so am definitely not thin but I think I will regret it if I don't have any done. If you're feeling really self conscious and don't want to spend the money then maybe your hubby can take some nice shots of you??
