Had a OB appointment today... Still breech, not too worried though, plenty of time to turn, but even if its a c-section no biggy!

    Hey Ladies!

Sorry to keep you all hanging, the moved the thread and my app wouldn't let me post in the new thread. Thankfully managed to get the computer out tonight.

Eliana Lucia was born on Wednesday 19-12-2012 at 12:51pm by c-section.
She was 49cm long and 2.74kg or 6.04lb. She spent the first night in SCU cause she had a bit of trouble breathing but she is perfect and in with mummy today.

Definitely made the right decision to have a c/section. She came out together with over 5L of amniotic fluid (there is usually about a litre), the umbilical cord was right down in the cervix and her head, whilst down, was actually sitting over my left hip. So basically, if my waters had ruptured at home she would most likely have not made it. My OB is very glad she confined me to hospital last week and is still amazed that my waters didn't break spontaneously.

Finally managed to have our first proper breastfeed tonight and we are doing well. Pain is not too bad and I am up and about.
