    Adden very cute!

Poor little boys with their nuts sticking! Must be painful

One week down today, thankfully nothing has happened. I have been extremely lucky I think. I had my first hypo yesterday, I didn't realise it can be so dangerous. I knew what was happening and had a juice but let half an hour go before telling the midwife! Bad move got into a little bit of trouble. I wasn't that concerned felt fine after 15 mins and I didn't want to bother them as they were so busy. I'm now on novorapid and protophane I think it is. I just hope it leaves after delivery, endocrinologist told me I still need to follow the diet for six weeks after delivery as well! Now that sucks.

In other news I have a date the 21st Feb! Can't wait, we'll I'm nervous as my C/S won't be straight forward and they have the most experienced OB doing it. That makes me feel a little better but also makes me think they are expecting trouble.

Great news about the date KM! They had booked 2 OB's for my delivery when it was a grade 4 - but I was lucky. Must suck to have the GD on top of everything else! Hope you are doing ok and the hospital is not driving you nuts!

be careful with the Hypos! they are truly scary hey!
I was told I can eat whatever I want after she was born - I was on a diabetic menu in hospital (although I certainly wouldn't have eaten that when pregnant! sooo many carbs!!!!) but he took me off it on day 3.
You get hungry when feeding! Just be aware of that esp if you aren't eating as many carbs.
21st feb - thats so exciting!
don't worry about trouble - you are in good hands!

Thanks - I think she is the cutest little thing ever

Adden and kmvw - I remember the first thing I ate after bub was born (I had diet controlled GD) was a huge huge huge gourmet pizza. Omg I made my gf get it for me and it was the best thing ever. Yum yum yum.

As usual I'm behind in the thread! It moved so fast some days!

Adden- she is such a cutie! You should be very proud!

Thank goodness all the new mums are still posting in here, I would have had no idea about the whole powder and sticky boy parts and panicked! It's so great reading how you are all going and what you are experiencing.

Mesch - can I ask (hopefully without offending anyone) which option you went with for circumcision for Mason? Was it under a general or the ring option? That one freaks me out a bit but we are also considering circumcision if bubs is a boy so would be keen to hear about how you went.

Wow KM! The 21st! I found out yesterday if bubs doesn't make an appearance on ta own accord, I will be induced on the 18th so we are so close together!! Do you need to continue with the insulin or blood levels monitoring after your little girl arrives r just the diet part until the 6 week GTT?

Has anyone else had an internal cervix examination? I did yesterday and it was a lt more uncomfortable that I'd anticipated!!

Hope everyone else is going well and patienty counting down te last few weeks/days!! These babies will be here before we know it I think!

I did think you were having yours the other day SL when I was on and saw you hasnt posted for a bit LOl

Km yay a date! Great to see and end on sight. Hope you have some good tv channels in hospital while your waiting.

Crafty, those internals are a killer! My hubby was in the room and OB was just chatting away to him while I'm squirming in pain. DH said I looked very uncomfortable.
