Default TTC and not wanting to move #6

They said my bmi was too high. It's 39. They are going todo a tracking cycle and the other tests and then see where we have to go. They said with the results of dhs semen test that we have to do icsi or whatever it's called. Just heartbroken really

That sucks Bubbles. If its any consolation, regardless of whether you are overweight or of a healthy weight they would likely get you to do a tracking cycle anyway as it is their way of seeing what happens in your cycle so they are better informed once you do actually start treatment so that wouldnt be a reflection anything. I did a tracking cycle before each time Ive started treatment (one in 2009 and got my BFP with DD!! Then again last year in 2012) so they can collect data/ levels.

I know its probably little comfort but maybe taking this time while tracking to try to shift a little weight and let them collect data etc might help get you off to a good start? Even losing just a couple of kgs can significantly help your chances of getting utd.

I was told in 2009 I would need ICSI and like I said, got a natural BFP on a tracking cycle that became DD. It can happen!!!!

Kelsie - Im an ex-smoker and I know what you mean about how hard it can be to give up. I needed a 'reason' to as well, I made it my wedding day as I didnt want to be a bride in a white dress with a ciggie in my hand, I literally smoked my last cigarette the night before my wedding Best thing I ever did as 2 months late I was utd with DD Its now been (nearly!) 4 years.

Sorry ladies but I need a little vent: my angel baby would have been 12 wks today which means I would have been having a scan, can't help but feel a little sad in my heart. To rub it it in two couple we know both had their babies today both little boys, so very happy for them of course but does feel a tiny bit like salt in a wound. DH just said to me "our turn next", hp so

You poor thing!! Don't they realize this is stressful enough!! My DH is in the medical field and gets furious at doctors who use BMI because it doesn't take into account body type. My DH is super fit but on the shorter side and BMI says he's obese. Far from it. Focus on loosing a few kgs at a time, don't worry about the number. We have way too much to stress about right now. Any little bit helps. I hope the blood tests are normal but shed some light. My GP is having me do cycle tests too. It's just to get some answers and rule out the big stuff so we know where to start. I'm sure it's the same with you. DH has to submit his sample tomorrow. Says he's fine with it but his tone of voice doesn't.

    Channy - I haven't been there before but I'm sure it's heartbreaking.
