Noty - I think go together. That way any questions you have you can ask, your partner will feel maybe more comfortable going together. After all, TTC is a team effort :-)
My DH literally went to the doc today to have his spermies checked! We've only been ttc for 4-5 months but we would still rather know now than in the future what's happening :-)
5dpo and the last few days I've been feeling really sick come the arvo, very nausea, not sure if its got to do with this time of year (we live on the coast and it gets extremly busy) or what. I have cramping occuring and niggling/tightening s happening alot, I'm off food. Anyone else like this atm?
Did a test today and bpn, but on my other children nothing showed up until i was 15-20 dpo.
Sending everyone out there
I just went to the doc on my own to get the referral - im assuming the fertility specialist will test DH's sperms, so havent sent him off to have them done first. Maybe i should seeing he has the day off.
The FS will run tests on his sperm. But doesn't hurt to beat them to it.
I made sure we had all bloods etc done prior to appointment. :-)
Thanks ladies - feeling a little more positive this afternoon and a lot more positive than last cycle, which ended in as a chem - I have already rubbed my belly and asked that bubba holds on for me
Mumsical, I am glad you are seeing a FS - our appointment is next Wednesday, I am going to keep incase. This is going to sound weird, but I kind of felt a kind of relief when the Dr sent me to get tests and said it looks like I have PCOS - felt like I finally had a reason for my cycles being so out of whack and why I didn't fall immediately like everyone else in my family - I really hope you get some answer soon. My DH has said that if I wanted to get his sperm checked he would, but I said that we would look at me first.
Shabbychook that it is all positive and a little bean snuggling in. I, all of a sudden, last week felt like I was coming down with a cold and was so stuffed up and runny nose - only just went away yesterday.
How are you going Channy? Plans for NYE?
Noty/Mumsical - I asked my GP about this when I was there last week with DD. She said that because we are in our 30s, the recommended time to wait is 6 months. After that, we both need to make an apt to see her for general health check, bloods, and sperm motility/morphology/count. She said a FS will probably want to do their own sperm stuff so be prepared for that if we get that far. She told me that if we aren't UTD by the end of Jan then we should see her. But she also told me not to freak out as it's early days, I'm pretty regular in cycling & Oing, and it's normal to take this long. All things I know, but it's nice to hear it from a professional. Good luck ladies!
AFM - Pretty sure I O'd early! Did an OPK on Christmas expecting the usual faint line lead up to O on Sat but it was super positive that day and yesterday as well. We've been getting lots of BDing in. Will continue to OPK and temp but super excited I may have a shorter cycle this time around!
