Default Would this make you feel bad?

Another reason why I wouldn't buy seafood from Coles!

That's horrible!!! And I love prawns, I would certainly eat a kilo happily lol!

But absolutely follow it through. That's appalling and disgusting behaviour and their way of obviously trying to flip their screw up on you.

3kgs of prawns and 4 crabs is hardly enough for an army .....we will probably get 1kg prawns and a couple of crabs and oysters and a few other things and thats just for me and df (and ds who wont actually really eat it will look at it and taste a bit)

so yea your order wasnt at all extreem .

df will probably get given a box 5kg of cooked prawns as a gift from his work (he works on a prawn farm )

Yes often when we do platters the deli staff escort the customer to the checkout, but that's more to help them with the trays and they often have the barcodes in a stack ready to hand to us, and explain complimentary items eg Jatz etc.

As for escorting you due to possible theft, that I can understand also though I think it's abit much, but it could be that they have had a recent theft like that and are feeling abit overcautious atm.

But they way she spoke to you? Not on. I would actually make a complaint.
Well that's the thing. Even if that were the reason as to why I was being escorted, she could have at least not said it!!! Like, how hard is it to be discreet?

"Tell you what? I'll hang on to this for you to keep it cool while you finish your shopping, then when you're ready, pop on back and I'll help you to the checkout".

How hard is that? And the result would have been: customer feels looked after.

Much better than; customer feels like a criminal.

That's really weird. Maybe she was having a mental breakdown?

What doesn't even make sense is questioning you had a need for them - like.... you were going to run off out of the shop straight to the water front and start flinging them into the water shouting "SWIM FREE!!!!"

Because it would be the dumbest robbery ever if you didn't actually intend on feeding them to other people.

I know, right??? It just made no sense. I was actually pretty amused by it afterwards, but at the time it was so humiliating!

Yes exactly!! That's exactly what I would have said if that was the case. I hope you get somewhere with your complaint.
