    Hi all

I'm due the 27th of July with baby #3. I have already had a dating scan (at 5w 2d - and saw a heartbeat) as I had no LMP to go off as I have yet to have my period return since the birth of my son 10 months ago. So let's just say this bub was a bit of a surprise lol. I didn't have any morning sickness with my first two, but this time I have so much nausea - mainly in the afternoon. I'm due to have another scan on Friday morning so all is still well

Hey I'm due somewhere around 24th July (dating scan was completely unhelpful haha I think it was too early in the morning for my ultrasound tech to calculate, but going from when I'm pretty sure I o'd I should be due the 24th)

    Hi All,

I'd like to join. Apparently I'm 6 weeks and due in August according to my G.P. but according to my ovulation I'd say I'm more like 3 weeks max and likely due in September.... very confusing for me, why don't medical specialists listen to you when you know these things?
Another thing my G.P told me was there was "no such thing" as a date scan as your pregnancy is calculated on your last period and an ultrasound isn't done until week 12.

Oh, and as for symptoms I have sore boobs and my nipples seem to have lost some feeling. I seem to get tired and lightheaded/dizzy as the day goes on. No nausea yet, but every time I get the slightest hint it might be coming on I shove some food in my mouth as I heard that helps! I also feel pretty grumpy and tired and vague, but having said that am feeling somewhat overwhelmed about being pregnant. There is just so much to think about and organise, and yet no-one to talk to because it's so early!

Your gp is a twit. I went for my dating scan on saturday and bub is measuring 6 days earlier than what my gp worked out from the date of my last period. If I didn't get the dating scan I would have been going to my 12 week way too early!

I was thinking the same! I got my implanon out a few of months ago, haven't had a period but am about 8 weeks pregnant so how would they tell how far along I am with that theory!?

Well, she said that the only reason to have a dating scan is if you have no or irregular periods.... but I'm feeling really unhappy with her response really, because everyone on here seems to be having dating scans. She didn't even do a blood test. Maybe she was having a bad day, but still... It's so hard to find a doctor who is taking new people, but now I don't really feeling comfortable staying with her.

I'm not being sent for a dating scan, just the 12 week scan.
I know my lmp and o date so I know my DD from that.
Everyones cycle is different though, so some people need a dating scan.
