    Thanks ladies
Excited DD will have a little brother! She keeps pointing at pictures of babies and saying 'baby'

One of my close girlfriends went through thyroid issues while pregnant. She had no issues after all the testing & had a healthy baby

Glad your morning sickness has left you!

When did you ladies do you your first u/s?

I had my first u/s yesterday at 6w4d, and whilst there was a heartbeat (118bpm) my doctor said it's smaller than it should be (4.5mm) and is concerned about chromosonal abnormalities.
My HCG levels have also slowed down...whilst they've continued to increase they've lost some speed.
I've heard people say their doctors wont do U/S until after 8 weeks because it causes unnecessary worry for something which might sort itself out...I'm back in next week to check the progress.

Yeah, she was having blood tests every week or fortnight from memory. And they did put her on meds too, she hated them because they made her morning sickness worse
By about 20 weeks (could have been earlier) they gave her the all clear

I've heard of that too, ladies getting worried after having early scans.
My first pregnancy, I didn't have one until 12 weeks.
This pregnancy (2nd) I had one at 15 weeks.

Is there a reason they did a 6 week scan?
Is it possible you are not as far along as you thought?
Hopefully in your follow up scan everything will be great

    Thank you ladies.

Unfortunately the dates can't be incorrect as I went through IVF so we have the date when our 5 day blastocyst was transferred.
Im doing early monitoring because of the IVF and they also wanted to do a dating scan to get estimated due date (as it differs when calculating IVF vs LMP) and also viability (heartbeat).

I guess I just have to wait until Tuesday and hope that I dont have any signs of m/c in the meantime.
Hopefully the embryo is just small and catches up....

That's right, I do remember you telling us about the IVF.
Crossing everything for you that your bub has caught up at your next appointment xxx
Let us know how you go!

And bubbles I'm sure you will be fine too - you are almost at the 12 week mark. Yay!
