Default What age did your child start throwing tantrums?

My toddler who is 27 months just threw his first massive tantrum (screamed in frustration and threw things in the floor). It's kinda shocked me as he's normally so.... Mild!

is this normal at this age?

DD hasn't had any yet, but I wait in trepidation...

    She's almost exactly 2.5.

Ahh, yes ok, normal. I just went back to his room and he was smiling... Looking at the books in the floor like 'I have no idea how those got there mummy!'. Either way, he seems to be over it. I was a bit worried he was acting out as I've been quite stressed lately and getting frustrated more easily. But he's a happy child so I'll just put it down to age. It wasn't anything major. Thanks!

DD has been chucking tantrums since about 13/14 months. They're not major and she's easily distracted. I think they're mostly a sign of frustration or tiredness at this point, rather than throwing her weight around.

DD1 started throwing whoppers of tantrums at 9months. I so didn't think it was possible but she proved me wrong. She is almost 4 now and still the same lol

Mine is currently 2 &4months and really hitting the peak - if it's really unacceptable or dangerous it's my way and I'll b firm, but if it's anything I'm happy to budge on and avoid the tantrum I run for that option

I bought the book Toddler Taming from Big W and it was a good read. No miracle cures, but just increases my understanding of a toddlers lack of 'sense'
