Default Re: First response test line not as dark as control line :-(

I tested about 2-3 days after my bfp and it wasn't that dark yet. I got a little spooked so I went for a "dating scan" a couple of weeks later (knowing exactly how far along I was - though the scan was a few days behind where i thought so i must have concieved a little later than id thought)

Id also had no symptoms. But on the way homefrom the scan morning sickness started (and didn't let up till 18 weeks blerg I see beautiful bellies and think oh to be pregnant again! But then I remember 3 months of vomiting!!!)

Default First response test line not as dark as control line :-(

I never got a strong bfp until I had held a couple of hours and in the afternoon. Fmu always gave me the faintest line so whenever I test it's always afternoon I use

Default First response test line not as dark as control line :-(

"according to the American Pregnancy Association, the two- to three-day guideline (doubling every 2-3) holds true in 85% of normal pregnancies. So that means about 15% of viable pregnancies may have slower hCG doubling times. In one 2004 study, researchers found that hCG could increase as little as 53% over a period of two days even in a normal pregnancy."

Different tests have different thresholds for levels and also you can't rely soley on a POAS test to compare hcg levels.

Relax. Be happy. Your BFP is here. Blood test is the only way to confirm your levels and you can't do anything but wait patiently. Try not to read so much into a line hun. Symptoms or lack of are not an accurate indication of a successfully sticky bub.
