Default Does anyone have a Hyundai ix35?

I have been looking at reviews after reviews after comparisons after reviews, and I think I have *finally* settled on a car I like, that would be in our price range (second hand, we don't believe in buying cars brand new)

I was just wondering, from those that have actually owned one themselves, what they thought??

How many km are you averaging a tank?

    How is the 'drive position'?

Thanks in advance for your replies

Yes....and I LOVE it!!! Best car I ever bought. My only advice is don't buy the base model, pay the couple of extra $$$k and get the 2.8(?)L engine, much better power. The boot isn't huge, but works well for us. I have the big infa secure luxi crown in rear facing and it fits well in the middle seat. Not sure how it would go rear-facing behind the passenger though...
It costs $65 to fill a tank and has great fuel economy. The latest release Elite model even hasSat Nav and reversing camera...which is awesome =)
All in all, I freaking love it and have no regrets purchasing. It's a dream to drive!!

I have two friends with ix35s, one is a base model and the other is the midrange model. My SIL has had drama with the air con belts, and my BFF's had computer dramas in her auto... She was on the highway and the computer disabled itself and the car rolled to a stop.
Aside from these manufacturing issues, they are both happy with the cars. I think they're good looking cars and I would consider getting one

They are nice cars but parts to fix take a while to get in. Also the room in the back isn't the greatest if u had a few kiddies.

Greenhorn I have the new 2013 model, as it is a lease car (I don't buy new cars either!!). I have had absolutely no problems at all with it. Do you have kiddies? I am happy with it up to 2 kids, but if we had a 3rd I'd probably go bigger tbh.
It's a wonderful size for parking and stuff too =)

I have one DD, 11 months, and might have another in a while. *if* we have a third, DD would be in just a booster by then.

Thanks everyone, it's given me something to ponder over
