I am still breastfeeding. We went through hourly feeds for quite sometime. Its completely normal! Its their way of regulating your supply. Demand = supply. I found when I went out they wouldnt feed so often so I do wonder if it was partially a boredom thing. I had lots of issues with low supply until around three months ago I finally got some domperidone which certainly helps around the time of af.

Thanks for replying Nat. It's so nice to chat to someone who is going through the same stages at the same time (roughly)
I would like to introduce a formula bottle before bed. Haven't had any luck as yet ... Lily has on occasion taken about 60ml of formula at most, but Evie won't touch it.
They are also different in the way that Lily takes a dummy and Evie won't, she's my little thumb sucker.
I had some success extending feeds (and getting better naps) after calling that 1800mum2mum and chatting to a breast feeding councillor. The girls are now feeding 2.5-3hourly and we are much happier and content

Did you have your partner offer the formula? We did this at first so they didn't want me.
Sounds like you're on track now with feeding, well done!

Yes, have had hubby and my mum try a few times. She doesn't take the bottle well either. She seems to gag on the teat. I've got Medela and Avent bottles.

Have had a tiring day today ... The girls have napped well, but one goes down and within minutes, the other is up, lol. Can't get five mins to myself today. That and then my 21month old is all over me if I don't have a baby in my arms.

Jess, I just saw your reply!
I have a good supply, but we haven't hit that 4month mark when the milk supply is established.
I have heard good things about the domperidone. I'm glad it's working well for you

So I went to ngala for a day stay on Monday.
We did ok. Lily had a perfect day and slept so long we had to wake her on her second nap. Evie had a terrible day and cat napped for 30mins here and there.

I was using most of the settling techniques they suggested.

The nurse suggested that I come in for another day stay in January and a week long night stay program in the new year. The wait list is long for that, but they want me to take ds too.
I hope I don't gave to wait too long for that as I think it'd be really beneficial.

We're good thanks Jess. My girls are 7months now. Sleeping better at night after a week at 'sleep school'. Day naps are still not great. But they are happy and healthy bubs
