    Default Wedding anniversary gift

Our wedding anniversary is coming up, have no idea what to give.
What sort of gift would you give your partner on wedding anniversary?

We usually just put aside a night to have dinner and go to the movies.

Depends on the year. Last March was our sixth, and the traditional gift is iron. I bought DH a cast iron frying pan for camping, and he gave me iron garden ornaments. How long will you have been married?

    Default Wedding anniversary gift

Ours was first year which was paper so he bought me a decorative paper umbrella and I bought him a 'joke a day' thing for his desk (he is the master of rubbish jokes so I thought it was appropriate lol)

    Default Wedding anniversary gift

On our first wedding anniversary I bought dh a pocket watch with the words "even time itself changes, it's my heart that stays the same, love Gem with the year". Engraved.

He bought me a ring with diamonds. We never do things traditionally. But it was beautiful for us.

Photo book full of photos of the two of you. I'd put "The Story of Us" on the cover and write our story amongst the photos. But you might think thats lame.. I'm very sentimental haha. :-)

Otherwise maybe gold class tickets, nice cuff links, red balloon activity to do together, massage voucher...something like that.

    Default Wedding anniversary gift

For our first anniversary (paper) I printed out and framed the sheet music for the song that we danced to at our wedding.

I guess it just depends on how important you both think anniversaries are as to the lengths you go to.

Personally, we're very sentimental and don't like getting each other just 'stuff' for anniversaries. We try to stick to the traditional anniversary gift list and make that into just something small and meaningful. For example the first anniversary is paper, so my dh wrote me a beautiful love letter and put it in a nice bottle. I got the doctor to write the sex of our baby down on a bit of paper and we opened it on our anniversary. Hard one to imitate though!

We always have a little date too, just to a nice restaurant, usually Thai coz that's what we had on our first date!
