    Default need advice quickly

i am on aropax for anxiety, started last month. the first lot i got were a generic brand. it's been great, i feel great. go to a different chemist today to refill my script and they give me a totally different generic brand convincing me they are exactly the same. get home, compare boxes and the ones they gave me had lactose in them so i rang and questionned them. they offered to change. so i went back and they had to give me the REAL brand of aropax but didn't charge me extra thank goodness. now i am freaking to take them.

I don't think you need to freak out. They are the pills you have been prescribed. There would be no difference at all to the active ingredients in them. What is your concern with taking them?

Generic meds have the same active ingredients as brand name ones, in the same doses. For example, Panadol contains 500mg of the active ingredient paracetamol. There is a generic brand called febridol that also contains 500mg of paracetamol.
The lactose in your tablets is not an active ingredient. Are you worried because you suffer a lactose intolerance? If so, the amount in a tablet wouldn't be much, I'd imagine. Even so, a quick google tells me brand name aropax does not contain lactose. Hope this helps.
