Default Quinoa - what do you make with it?

I just purchased my first packet of quinoa - I've been meaning to try it for AGES!

Can anyone share any recipes or tell me how they like to include quinoa in meals?

I was a little disappointed that Taste.com only has 22 quinoa recipes!

    Thanks

I have the BEST quinoa cook book EVER. It was worth every single cent!

Recipes include soups, salads, breads, muffins even gnocchi. My favourite is the quinoa coconut pudding. It also has breakfast recipes oh and a Christmas cake which I want to try pancakes, curries ok I think you get the message

So the book uses the grain, quinoa flour and the quinoa flakes.

Jamie Oliver has an awesome "San Fran" salad with quinoa and chicken in 15 Minute Meals if you can find it online.

    Ooooh, thanks LoCo!

I'd love a salad recipe to use as a side tonight for dinner. One with not too many ingredients preferably

I'll have to get my hands on that cookbook I think.

I love making a roast veg salad with whatever I have leftover, quinoa, basil, rocket, olive oil and balsamic. Yum

As a pp said, make sure you rinse it well!!

I like to use it as a salad base like I would couscous, but I've also served it hot, cooked in stock and lots of lime juice and sliced green onions just before serving. I had that with blackened chicken breasts.

I use quinoa instead of rice with stews etc. it has a richer flavour that goes well with curries
