    Default Changing your surname

Who here has changed their surname to their partners or vice versa? I'm thinking about changing mine and DD's. I'm wondering if people will start thinking we're sisters!

I'm thinking of changing mine to my partners eventually. Our child has her surname so I'm the odd one out.

    Default Changing your surname

I am planning on changing mine. Sent the paperwork off a few weeks ago, but the form was too old apparently so they sent it back. Now I have to wait till I have the money again then I will send the new form off. We have already talked about last name for our kids, any children we have will get her last name.

    Default Changing your surname

We gave DD my last name for convenience really but now I've had no contact with my family for about 10 months and im hoping it's permanent I would like to change it. It's a big decision though. My mum changed my name 3 times when I was younger (maiden name, bio dads name, step dads Name) so I'm hesitant to do it.

    Default Changing your surname

I'm the same, I haven't had contact with my family for years (13 on mums side 11 on dads) it is a huge step!for us, me changing my name means a lot more than registering our relationship or getting married ever will.

I think my grandmother changed her name 4 times, her maiden name and 3 hubbies, maybe again if she has gotten married again in the last 6 years.

We changed our surname many years ago (well joined them) the only people who thought we were "twin sisters" were older church goes. We have never had any issues with family etc
