Out of those two I think I prefer Lola, although I'm not really a fan of either.

It's strange that I don't like Celeste actually, as I love the word CELESTIAL; anything to do with stars and space sounds so beautiful and amazing to me...

I prefer Celeste, it's nowhere near as common as Lola and very pretty

(Just to be clear though, my idea of 'common' and everyone else's seems to be quite different *chuckle*).

Default If you had to choose one, which would you choose?

Lola, it's at the top of my list for my baby girl due in 8 weeks.

Celeste. Lola sounds a bit 'tarty' / Lolita-y to me.

But I agree with PP regarding the names. It sounds as if one of you is going to miss out by not having the one you want. Perhaps another name - one that you both love - would be a better option.

I always loved the name, but like some PP's have said. I don't like what it rhymes with at all. So I vote Lola

If I was you guys, I would throw around a few more names. Not that you should pick a different name but it might help one stand out than the other while looking at other names.

That and maybe wait until she is born, plays a huge part in naming IMO

If I had to choose out of only those 2 names, I would pick Lola.

But..like other posters have said it sounds like one of you is going to be upset as one name won't be used.

DH and I were terrible at trying to agree on names and in the end sat down with a name book and chose several names that we BOTH agreed on. Then we waited until DS was born and had a chance to look at him before we picked a name off the list.
