    I prefer Celeste.

But I think the compromise is a better option. While searching for names with similar meanings to Lola and Celeste, I came across Leilani. Sound is related to Lola, meaning is related to Celeste.

Default If you had to choose one, which would you choose?

Depends really on whether it would bother you if your child had a popular name or not. Lola is becoming very popular and will end up being like Mia, lily or isabella, where there will be more than one in a classroom in their popular years. If that doesn't bother you then yes Lola is lovely. Also Lola rhymes with silly things too, bi polar, and words such as mole, troll and hole will be used to rhyme with it also. Every name I liked my partner had a stupid word it rhymed with and all names you can do it with!!!!

Celeste is a beautiful name. I wish id fought harder for it to be DD1's name.

Lola is our cat's name. DH and i both thought lola was lovely but just wasnt right for DD2 so when we brought a cat this year she became lola

I guess I don't see Lola as popular as I have never met a single Lola in my whole life but I know of a few Celetste's .. but that could be because of my latin background.
