MissX I loooooove the name Lola. I originally wanted Lolita but because of the reputation that name carries DH said no way! I tried Lola and he still says no

I also hear you on the not wanting to eat. I haven't wanted to eat pretty much this entire pregnancy. Nothing appeals to me. I am almost 23 weeks and MS has started up again this week with me heaving my guts up every morning. i get random wants of some foods but for the most part, I don't want any food.

I'm the same food does not appeal. If its there I will eat but not really keen. DP gets a bit worried.
Names are a pain. We have loved one of ours for ages but it seems very popular here on hubbub.
Will do personals tomorrow when on compy.

Default Graduates of TTC and not wanting to move #2

First time mum I am Brazilian my family is there, well my parents and and my sisters are here but the rest of it is all in brazil it makes it very hard to visit! We have been here 9 years and finally my aunt and uncle came to visit so it's been very busy! Margaret river is beautiful but all about the beach and wines which I don't drink and I'm not a huge fan of the beach but the kids had a good time I might need to suck it up and take the boys to the beach more often they loved it!!!

    Are there symptoms for GD?
I was expecting it really, so glad caught it early. The main effect is a big baby (Oscar was 10 pound 1 oz), but as soon as I delivered my BSLs returned to normal. The abnormality lies with the placenta, for reasons unknown. The main effect is a big baby, but when Oscar was born he was massive, but then dropped to below the 3rd percentile for weight for the next year. He was the runt of the litter in my Mothers' Group for his first year!! He has caught up now!
I am seeing Endocrinologist next Thursday, and I expect insulin coming my way. Not fussed. My professional life consists of needles, so not worried about insulin. Barely feel it. My parents are Pharmacists, so I am already equipped with glucometer etc.

As for eating...I tend to eat what I crave...I am bad! But it's the Mummies right to decide what she eats. Ignore everyone else.

    J x.

Hi Calicocat - i would say call your OB to make sure your risk levels are ok. I was one of those unlucky ppl where everything was perfect in my 12 week scan - left the scan happy as larry. The went for the OB appointment and was told that due to my blood results I had a high risk for down syndrome. I had an amnio and everything is fine so all good now but just saying that high risks can and do happen due to bloods only. Im sure you are fine though!

J - can u do anything to prevent GD?

    J- Sucks about the GD!

Sorry for those still feeling sick/off their food! I've not had MS fortunately but have my own version 24/7 with this gastroparesis I have. So I totally sympathise. Hope you'll all be feeling better soon!

I agree names are a pain. As I am sure I am having another boy I have been thinking of names. And there are not many I like! We had this problem with DS.

What do people think about the name Autumn for a girl though? I think its different and cute. But Autumn as a season is all about nature drying up and dying so not sure! Thought Autumn Rose was nice but a bit of a contradiction!!!!

Thanks for the advice everyone, I did call the ob and got good news - low risk, yay!
I told my boss first then a couple of workmates, feels so good to be out in the open!
Mum is so relieved, she's been busting to tell the world.
Button that's exactly what I worried would happen.
I'm so glad the amnio turned out fine for you, I bet that was a stressful time.

Oh wow, names. Yeah, we are having a lot of trouble agreeing on a boy's name, my DB hates everything I suggest.
I love Lola! I have a niece with a very similar name and couldn't use it, but think it's so lovely.
Bond Autumn Rose is beautiful, love it!

I think Autumn Rose is a beautiful name! Autumn is my favorite season, it's still warm enough to get around in shorts and a tshirt but not too warm to feel comfortable. The colours are stunning on the trees and an autumn rose is a rare and beautiful thing
