    Good job Sage. Hi.

Is anyone else getting judged for what they will or won't eat? I think if I want to be overly cautious and listen to the warnings, that's my choice. I just got told I was 'one of those people'. And then I got the 'when I had kids I ate what I liked and my kids were fine'. Back off people, my body my baby and I'll do what's right for us.

Ahhh did a typo' everyone now not
    Know!

Lilsmurfy I feel judged and I have been quite relaxed so have had the
Opposite. People say stuff like you can't eat that. I can't believe you are drinking caffeine or your not really going to order that! I think it's just a thing everyone feels they have the right to an opinion on.

J I hope ur test results were good.

I am loving seeing these cute scan pics!

Thats ok Sage when I am not on my computer (like right now) I find it near impossible to go back to do personals but please know I read every comment on here

LilSmurfy - I am 'one of those people' too so don't worry. I have had a few comments as well especially from my SIL who is also pregnant and pretty relaxed about what she eats etc etc but I don't mind. I am a natural worrier and stress head so me being really careful is my way of reducing my worry and reassuring myself I am doing what I can to protect my baby.

Ah gosh it's so annoying isn't it we get judged either way! Seems once you are pregnant you get judged no matter what you do and it sadly continues in motherhood as well

    Yay! Catch up time!

MissXamA - Did you make a decision with your DH about finding out the gender? And how is the MS going? Has it come back yet? Hoping not! I had a hook effect as well, started going pale. I was very anxious about it at the time but everything turned out ok.

J37 - Congratulations on your baby girl! We really wanted a baby girl, so we were both a bit disappointed to find out bub is a boy. 9 weeks later and we're warming to the idea of having another baby boy and DS having a little brother. It does take time. How'd the GD results go?

Bond Girl - I'm glad your NT scan came back fine and it's always great fun to finally tell people isn't it It's lovely to see your bub, that's such an awesome scan shot

maybee baybee - I'm glad you're feeling good, the second trimester is always the best I hoped that I would feel that good for a while but the aches and pains came in quite early so I didn't get so lucky this time. I think being 40kg lighter than last time has definitely helped though.

calicocat - I had no symptoms either with DS. I felt a little off in the mornings for a couple of days but a piece of dry toast solved that really quickly. That was it entirely until he was big enough to start encroaching on my lung space. And they're great pics, I love that the 3D one looks like bub is looking straight at you!

DarkNstormy - Welcome to the thread Sounds like your levels are going up well. Can't wait to see how things go for you.

Chocciequeen - Off to Perth, magic! I love Perth, we spent a good 24 months living there and loved the whole vibe of the place.

SageS - There's a couple of girls from the forum that I've been in touch with on FB for quite a long time now. Two of them are still TTC while I'm the last one of those currently pregnant to be having my bub, and I'm due at the end of March. It's hard not to feel a bit guilty but all we can do is hope that they conceive soon. It will be VERY exciting for all of us when they do though

Lil Smurfy - I got told the "My kids were fine" line at least a half a dozen times a day by my MIL when she was here. I was eating soft cheese occasionally if it was pasteurized but then that first listeria breakout happened and I got paranoid and stopped eating it. Other than that I really don't eat anything 'naughty' because I'm a bit paranoid and it's annoying having people tell you that it won't hurt.

AFM I went and did a tour of the maternity ward of the hospital I will be in and that's gone a long way to making me feel a bit more comfortable. I know where to go, how big the rooms are (HUGE! lol) and where the nursery/special care/operating theater etc. are. Completely different to when I had DS as I couldn't get to that hospital for a tour. I was totally lost when I was there and had no idea where the nursery was or anything!
It's awesome because everything is basically in a smallish area. Because it's a private hospital it feels a lot less clinical and hospital-y and the midwives were all really lovely and didn't have that harried, overworked look that they all had when I had DS.
It was basically a really nice experience and I'm glad I went in to see them. There was only a couple of mums on the ward when I went through but I heard a newborn crying when I first got there and nearly melted on the spot lmao.

I've had the "when I was pregnant I ate what I wanted" it makes me so mad! And I've been laughed at!

    Welcome dark&stormy and congratulations!

Cute pics calico and J. I keep my 12w scan pic beside my bed and it always makes me smile.

Yay for a long wend! We are going to head into city on sat and DH has to work sun & mon. I might start sussing out baby stuff...

Sage one of my best friends had a miscarriage 12mths ago and has been TTC since Oct 2011. She's not coping too well and it's heartbreaking. She puts on a brave face around me. She knows we had a lot of trouble conceiving so is supportive but I know it's hard on her.

I say it's up to the individual to eat what they want and no one else's business.

Eko I have just started to have aches and pains. Going for a walk and I start to get lower pelvic pain and just feel sore. Sometimes after sitting and them standing up I get lower pelvic pain too. Might just be ligament/uterus stretching... Anyone else have this? I'll ask at my hospital apt next week.
Thats great to have visited the hospital, and you got a nice feeling about it. Must be somewhat comforting.

J - are your results in yet...?

Well, I have GD...bummer. Have to log my BSLs 4 times a day, then see Endocrinologist next Thursday to decide whether I need insulin. Not too stressed; had it with Oscar. Lucky am not needle-phobic!
    Not ideal, but hey-ho!
Ps. As for movements, I only feel them intermittently at the moment at 20 weeks. So don't
fret...an anterior placenta will definitely affect your ability to feel bubs.
