The three line "Big Mac" sign is a very good indication that bubs is a girl. There is a big difference in what you can see at 12 versus 16 weeks.
There is always a small chance it's incorrect, but the "Big Mac" sign is pretty reliable. They use the same method on a standard 20-week US.

Plus, it reinforces the 12-week scan you posted early, which indicated a likely girl.
Your 12-week scan looks like mine...very probably a girl for me too, based on my 12-week scan. I wanted another boy, as girls scare me...I know boys now!!

The 3D gender scans at 16 weeks are pretty good IF they can get a good view, but the 20-week standard US is just as reliable (again, as long as the view is good). Is there a particular reason you are so anxious to know the gender? Just interested. I thought about having a gender scan, but am nearly 17 weeks so I'll hold out until 20 weeks. They aren't cheap from memory.

Ps. I'll tell you what is crap...there's a urine assay test called "Intelligender" which you can do from 9-12 weeks, which supposedly detects sex hormones being produced from the foetus and hence the gender. Costs $100, single use. I did it with Oscar, and the colour was different depending on which angle I looked at it! No clear result.

Ill have a think about it. It's about $100 which isn't too bad. No big reason for finding out I just have a lot of baby stuff and my cousin is due with a girl just before my 20 week scan and i need to work out what to give away and keep kwim !

And I'm inpatient! I have heard of those gender detection urine tests, they have terrible reviews online too!

Happy New Year ladies. I am hanging for Thursday as I really want to go home. I know its only fair to spend time with DP's family as well as mine but his aunty is treating me like an invalid. I'm pregnant not dying!
