I didn't with Oscar, as I just stupidly suffered until I made the transition to maternity clothes...which I did far too late from memory. When I finally did buy maternity clothes I really wished I'd done it earlier! I definitely will this time. I still have a lot of maternity/feeding tops, but they are pretty washed up as I wore them for almost a year feeding Oscar.
My SIL used one of those belly-pants-extenders, and swore by it...but she got it in the UK. I haven't seen them in shops here, but I am sure that one could get them online. I am definitely at that stage where I don't like anything firm around my middle. The belly-pants-extender sounds like a good option for you though for work, until you need to buy those oh-so-attractive maternity pants!

Hey guys, bit quiet today?! I assume everyone is in the last throes of pre-Christmas madness. I think I am finally organised.
Going to be 39 degrees tmrw in Melbourne, which I am completely unimpressed about. Bloody rising progesterone in pregnancy is making me hot enough! (I add here the caveat that I am extremely grateful to be pregnant!). But I will definitely have a good whinge tmrw, and blow-out our electricity bill with the air-con. Did a stack of ironing past few nights, so absolutely refuse to go near a hot ironing board until it cools down (and I am one of those super-obsessional ironers, so it takes forever)! For you girls in SA and WA, I don't know how you do it!
Hope everyone is well as can be,
    J x.

Haha I hope your aircon works well!! It's suppose to be 39 here on Xmas day and at my sister in laws house on has evap air con so all it works not like a fan when it's that hot!!! Not impressed!!
Xmas is really busy I haven't wrapped many presents as I can't do it while the kids are around so waiting till Monday while they are Childcare yay for Childcare as my family has Xmas on Xmas eve so I get to help my mom with all the stuff without disruptions!!
I am on the other hand a bit disappointed with my mil, my mom just told me that when they first found out about the bubs my mil told my mother she is not helping in any way...I know it can be normal for that sort of reaction but still upsetting as my family is very helpful almost like a bit Italian or Greek family we brazilians believe family always come first but to my mil it's not like that at all she never sees the kids and when she does she only takes ds1 never ds2 so I'm having such mixed feelings about having Xmas with dh's family
Oh well at least I have mine and I will suck it up and deal with it for my boys!!

39 in Adelaide today. DH whinged about the aircon being on yesterday, he's just going to have to accept the fact that I'm not going to suffer through. We're off to finish Xmas shopping today and see a movie.

Sorry your mil isn't more supportive Nila

J I'm with you not at all impressed about 39 in Melbourne today. Might just hibernate inside watching episodes of revenge and wrapping Xmas pressies.

Nila sorry your mil is not more supportive. Try to not let her ruin your pregnancy and Xmas. Hugs

Just wondering if anyone has bought or thought about furniture or car seats yet? We are hoping to layby a cot, change table and some other bigger items after Xmas... Where can anyone recommend we go?

We've had a look at baby bunting. I'm hoping if we get everything from the same place, we'll get a discount. I've picked the cot I want, and know that I want a pram with capsule, but don't know which one

We haven't even started thinking or talking about it we already have one crib but will need to get another and a toddler bed for ds2. We are going to hire capsules and worry about car seats when the bubs get too big to fit into the capsules, I have a major problem with the pram I have now cause since I need to put ds1 in the back the pram won't fit unless I completely take apart so I don't know what I will do about I only bought the pram like 9 months ago!!
To be completely honest I don't feel dh is being that supportive either and my mom just thinks its the way he was raised! He think just because we are having 2 everything will change and he's been talking about changing for the past 4 years since ds1 was born and he really hasn't so today I am feeling unhappy, frustrated and just a bit stressed out!! I will try to shake it off and just worry about tomorrow
    Everyone ready for Xmas?

Sorry you aren't getting the support you want and deserve Nila.

We are waiting to buy things but have started looking.

AFM at work again today can't wait for holidays to start tomorrow. We are having the first rain of the wet. Haven't seen rain since May so this is beautiful
