    Default TTC after pregnancy loss

Finally stopped bleeding after a pregnancy loss 7 weeks ago. I was 19 weeks into the pregnancy. I know the docs say to wait after your next period before trying again. Is there any reason why we can't try now before my AF is due? Would like info from people that have gone through this or have received specific instructions from a professional.

If you've had D&C or went into labour or anything where your cervix was opened then you shouldn't be having sex or TTC for a month after that as there is a risk of infection. As it's been 7 weeks it should be fine and they probably are more interested in knowing your dates and that you are OK emotionally. Can you ask your doctor if there is a special reason to wait in your case? Good luck!

Thanks Noty. I think I'm o'ing today that's why I'm asking. Ob checked my cervix after 4 weeks and it was closed. We were told to wait a cycle which we were but it's hard not to take up any opportunity. Cervix is definitely closed my Ob checked. We might DTD once now just before my first AF is due.
