Default Were you told the wrong gender???

I'm wondering how many of us were told one gender and when bub was born, it was the opposite?

Mostly interested in boys turning out to be girls

I was told a girl and had a girl but I was so nervous about it happening that I asked at every ultrasound!

I do know of it happening which is always why people kept telling me not to buy too much pink.

The cases I know about are boys being girls.

This is why I'd be too afraid to be find out. I wouldn't care either way, but there would be a part of me that would upset and disappointed if I'd planned for the last 20 weeks to have a boy and it was a girl or vice versa if that makes sense.

Would rather just wait until it can be 100%

Not me but the mother of a friend of mine was told she was having a boy. Mum and Dad were very pleased as they thought they'd have their pigeon pair with their 2 year old daughter. Long story short come birth time Mum gives birth to not one but two girls!!!! Identical twin girls when they thought she was having a boy!!! In the doctor's defence this was over 30 years ago lol!!!

We were sure we saw a doodle at our ultrasound, only to have the ob pull away and say "oh you didn't want to know what we're having, did you?" I was pretty down because I wanted a girl but we were both adamant of what we saw.

Come c-section day and all I could hear was them talking she-this and she-that and I was thinking cant they just concentrate on my baby for a bit? Needless to say I was stoked to get a girl baby to match the littlest cousin who would have 10 all boy cousins.

Dh choosing her name on the spot - well I guess I'll like it eventually but that's another discussion!

I was told boy for DD1. She was a surpise so I was on a really tight budget. I bought a lot of 2nd hand baby clothes and had a few friends and family picking up what ever they could from their friends to help me out.

The shock when they showed me between her legs and her penis was missing!

She wore Blue clothes with pink cardigans and headbands for the first 8 months of her life.

DD2 I thought was a boy because I felt so different. I still had the clothes so she was stuck in the same as her sister. I never asked at the ultra sound because I didnt trust them to get it right.

This time, I saw he was a boy in the 3d - you can't miss the fact its a boy I am still scared!

I was told it happens if the girls genitals are swollen looking (which can happen because of all the hormones from mum) and on ultrasound can look like boy parts.

I've never had it happen to me, but mum was told I was a boy!
