    Default The waiting game........

I am/ was 6 weeks pregnant, after conceiving 2 weeks after a miscarriage. All seemed to be going well until two days ago I experienced some bleeding. It was as heavy as a normal period but only lasted a few hours and I have not had any bleeding since.

I initially thought there was little chance that the pregnancy would continue but a few days later I still feel pregnant with breast tenderness. I am taking this as a positive sign that the baby may be okay. But perhaps it is just that the hormones have not gone down significantly enough for symptoms to subside. How long after a pregnancy loss have others still felt pregnant?

I had a blood test yesterday to measure HCG and will have another tommorow (48 hrs after) to see if levels have risen or fallen. I hate the waiting game........ Fingers crossed for me please x

    Default Good News!!!

Thanks everyone for your well wishes, the good vibes must have worked

Got my blood test results today and they showed my Hcg levels had risen from 18,400 mlU/ml to 29,800 in 48hrs and my progesterone at 58ng/ml so it seems baby is still going strong.

The small town I live in only offers ultrasounds 1 day a week and I was told there were no avaliable appointments until next year even in the case of a threatened miscarriage. I am therefore making a day trip to the next town in 10 days for a scan, I will be approx 8 weeks then so hopefully see a healthy heartbeat.

So happy everything turned out alright!

That sucks about no emergency appointments for an US. 6 months ago I was booked in for my 12 week scan in the town over because they didn't do it here, but when I started bleeding at 10 weeks they were still able to fit me in for an emergency one at the local hospital.
