Default 40 weeks and feeling really discouraged :(

I had my bloody show this week, plus intense braxton hicks and back pain. Last day and a bit, NOTHING. just the odd twinge. This morning I completely lost my marbles and couldn't stop crying, my nose even bled. I'm so OVER it! Even unpacked my hospital bag completely, threw my pregnancy books out, - yep - completely irrational and over the top. Didn't help having only 2 hours sleep due to discomfort either and I can't sleep during the day either, cos I feel sick then for some reason. Can't remember when I had more than 2-3 hour sleeps in the last few weeks. Feel like a big fat whale and sick of wearing the same clothes cos nothing fits around my belly. Can't wait to see the back of these clothes.

Feel like this child will NEVER come out. !

Oh I have been there, twice! It is such an awful feeling and it really does feel like labour will never happen.

It won't be long, hang in there.

Sounds like you are very close. Hang in there, go for a little walk if you have the energy, to try an get things moving.
    Good luck!

Before I went in to labour my Braxton hicks went away completely for a day and a half and I had my DD 2 days later. So fingers crossed for you that the end is close!

thanks ladies. I hope so. Doesn't help having two toddlers waking up twice a night each. DH gets up as much as he can so i can rest but once im awake that's it.
So yeah, not fun. I can already feel a headache coming on. yay.

Ahhh, memories! My waters broke with DD after a LOOOONG week of Braxton Hicks, irregular contractions, no sleep and just over all discomfort. So many times I'd feel the twinge and think, ooh, this is it! But it just never seemed to progress; so when my waters broke at 3am in bed one morning, I thought, finally! Jumped in the shower and headed to the hospital, only to be sent home to "wait". Grrrrr. Long story short, I ended up in labour for 40 something hous where nothing progressed, walked around the hospital for 2 days constantly leaking, had basically no sleep for those days and was finally induced with the gel... that didn't work, either, so I was given the drip and eventually gave birth!

Good luck and best wishes, this time next week you will be cradling your little one in your arms and all of this will be a distant memory
