    Default Successful constipation cures :(

Dd1 had a small tear that healed with paw paw ointment over a week or so.

    Good luck - poor bubba

    Default Successful constipation cures :(

My dd has huge constant constipation issue (resulting in hospital visits)

    Some ideas:
    - prunes or prune juice
    - lime juice
    - pears or pear juice
    - lubricate the bottom to make it easy and not hurt to pass
    - chocolate laxatives
    - warm soapy water squirted up (safe anima)
    - best option is a ml or so of olive oil up the bottom (with lube) sounds awful but in the end this is what helps my daughter the most and advice given to me by the dr at the hospital.

Do not use coloxyl drops as it sends lots of urges but if it's blocked by hard p00 it wont pass easily and causes more discomfort, yes it does soften the p00 but not enough to pass already constipated intestines/bowels. It's good to help make p00ing easier but can also make the bowel lazy. All drs have always told me not to use it, the pharmacist however says too and believe me it cause more harm then good here.

First thing I was told to get was coloxyl and then parachoc.
    I gave him neither.
I can't see a tear but there is a small bulge just inside his anus.
He cries now when he p00s an it's distressing for all of us.
The olive oil is a great tip, thanks.
I will also ask the pharmacist tomorrow

Prunes are pretty effective I've found.

My dd was the same when she started eating a decent amount of solids. Lots of water and bf and massaging her back passage when she seemed to strain was all I really could do. Typical 'laxative' food didn't seem to make much difference or us. Over time it has slowly gotten better, but still have our moments. Some children are worse than others maybe, my boys didn't have this issue. Dd sometimes still gets blocked up if I give her too much egg or banana.
